Menorca Airport (MAH) formely known as Mahon Airport, is the only airport on the Spanish Balearic island of Menorca.
It is located in the southeast of the island, about 4.5 kilometers from the capital, Mahón. The airport was opened in 1969 and has since undergone several expansions. It currently has 16 gates and can handle up to 3.4 million passengers per year.

The majority of passengers flying into Menorca Airport are foreign visitors. The island is a popular destination for beach holidays, as well as for its historical and cultural attractions.
There are a number of ways to get from Menorca Airport to your destination on the island. You can take a taxi, bus, or hire a car. If you are traveling with a group or have a lot of luggage, a taxi is the best option.
Public Taxis are metered and the fare to Mahón is around €14. Buses are a more affordable option, but they can be crowded during peak season. There are several bus routes that connect the airport to different parts of the island.

If you want to avoid the hassle of public transportation, you can hire a car at the airport. There are several car rental companies located at the airport.

When you land at Mahon, and you have passed through customs, we recommend one of the easiest and quickest ways to get to your hotel or villa is by a private taxi.
We always use Suntransfers to make a swift transfer between the airport and our accommodation. The big advantage is the return from your Villa or Hotel to the airport when your holiday is over.
It is not easy booking a return to the airport with a regular taxi, so we prefer to book a private taxi online like Suntransfers so it is easy for the driver to find us on time.

As you come through in the arrivals hall, both Suntransfers and Holiday Taxi drivers await with a board with your name on it. Within a 2 minutes walk to the car park where the private hire companies park and you are on your way.

Our personal favourite is Suntransfers. Usually high-spec cars and friendly helpful drivers that speak good English. We have always been picked up on time with Suntransfers. *Recommended

Also, we use Holiday Taxis, again offering a similar service to Suntransfers. They have friendly drivers and are on time. Their websites are both easy to use and payment is made online in advance with a no-obligation quote before you book. You can cancel online too if you change your plans.

Private hire is not the cheapest, but what we like is the reliability no fuss quick transfers which is worth every penny (Euro).
