Santo Tomàs of Es Migjorn Gran, or more commonly know as Santo Tomás, is a small town on the South Coast of Menorca.
We stayed for a week in September 2018 and had a wonderful time. We hired a Villa from Villa Plus called Santo Grande which was situated on Urb.
Let us answer some questions on Santo Tomas
Getting there from Son Bou - Our Transfer!
Santo Tomas was our second resort destination after moving from Son Bou midway through our fortnightly holiday. Our transfer from one resort was simple. We hopped in a taxi at the taxi rank at Son Bou opposite Restaurante Atalis near to the Sol Milanos Pingüinos Hotel.
The distance between Son Bou and Santo Tomas as the crow flies is no more than 2 or 3 miles. As there is no coastal road, the taxi had to drive inland to meet the main Me-1 road, to get to the Me-16 road to Santo Tomas. The journey took a good 20 mins and the final road in Santo Tomas was a bit twisty and ended up quite tight on the bends. Cost us around the 26 euro's mark.
As we had to leave the last villa by 10am, we obviously arrive early at the Santo Grande Villa. The Villaplus cleaners, let us leave our bags there (11.30am) whilst they finished off. They said to come back after 1.30pm.
So we walked down the road to an amazing find Cafeteria Halley that served us both an incredible full English Breakfast for less than 20 Euros. Super coffee, 0ne of the best in Santo Tomas. Really enjoyed their fabulous breakfast. Very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat or a midday place for a drink. Find it at Lugar Urbanització Santo Tomás, 1 Lugar, 07749 Santo Tomás, Menorca, Islas Baleares.
Santo Tomas Resort
Here you will find a good stretch of a lovely sandy beach with two bars at each end. Malibu Bar and Restaurant at the western side is a delight. We particularly loved having our lunch there in the shade looking out onto the beach and sea. Good value and friendly staff situated at a fabulous location. My wife's enjoying it in the picture :-)
Santo Tomas is a compact resort, comprising of manly 6 larger hotels along with smaller hotel, apartments and villas. There are sand dunes and a pathway leading right the way along the beach. Perfect for an evenings stroll after your evening meal. When the weather is good, and it was most of the time we were there, you get perfect sunsets looking over to Majorca.
There are plenty of places to park with a car park at both ends of the beach and also one at the Commercial Centre called Pàrquing Sant Tomàs midway between the two. Just to the side of this Car Park is a Children's Play area. Perfect for families.
There are several Supermarkets on the main street inland from the beach. Supermercado Barvi is just before the Santo Tomas Hotel situated on the ground floor in an apartment block along with some gift shops and the BAR-HELADERIA where we grabbed a bite to eat one evening. Cheap and Cheerful would be the best way to describe it and popular.

Villa Santo Grande -Villaplus
After our delicious brunch, we headed back to our Villa Santo Grande which was ready to go and looked fabulous. In fact, this Villa was so big, (it can sleep 10) was too big for just the two of us!! If you have a large family or maybe taking the grandchildren as well as the Children, this place is ideal. Very central inland and within 5 to 10 minites walk of the whold of Santo Tomas.
